Jim Gigax, who represented insurance companies for twenty five years, now brings this experience to help people obtain compensation caused by careless and negligent skiers and corporations. Retaining seasoned, qualified, un-biased counsel to secure your compensation is critical to preserving your rights.
Finding insurance coverage to pay for your compensation, damages and losses is critical. Jim entered the insurance and negligence/tort legal fields in 1986, when he was General Counsel to Rocky Mountain Life Insurance Company, and Associate General Counsel to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Colorado. He re-entered private practice in 1988.
Jim’s expertise in insurance and tort law was recognized by the A.M. Best Company, which asked Jim to serve as the Colorado law editor of Best’s Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys. AM Best is a U.S.-based credit rating agency that focuses on the insurance industry.
Jim attended law school at Indiana University-Bloomington and at the University of Denver College of Law, where he graduated in 1980, and was on the Law Review. He passed the Bar Exam in 1980 (Colorado) and then Wyoming’s in 1981, where he started his career with a federal agency, the Tennessee Valley Authority. He then returned to Colorado and entered private practice, had a stint as General Counsel for an insurance company, and then returned to private practice, where he has been resolving his clients’ disputes since 1988 in Colorado and Wyoming.
Jim personally develops and supervises the development of each case he handles. This is not a volume personal injury law firm where you might feel ignored.
Jim is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum which is one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. There are over 4,000 members throughout the country. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.
